Welcome to the MidAmerica Public Health Law Emergency Response Committee website.
The not-for-profit Committee, based in St. Louis, Missouri, supports legal readiness to address issues that may arise in epidemics, natural catastrophes, terrorist acts and other public health crises. We maintain this site as a resource for professionals in law, business, healthcare, journalism, government and first response communities.
The Committee promotes continuing education in legal and health communities. We encourage productive dialogues among legal and health professionals, government entities and law enforcement officials.
The menu at left links to resources that provide information about public health and legal issues, disaster readiness and first response issues from many enterprises, some not affiliated with this Committee.
Presentations on this site are among those delivered at the milestone conference “Are You Ready?: Public Health Emergencies and the Law,” which shared expertise about urgent matters of public health, disaster preparedness and related legal issues.
Please feel free to contact Committee Chairman David J. Massa via email at
